I would be very careful dismissing something that there is much evidence for and that can be so deeply felt within the human soul.
There is plenty of evidence to suggest that Christ did and does exist.
Discounting the Bible would also be a big error imo as it is the most consistent text that can be found and despite the fact that many have tried to disprove it none have yet succeeded (and nor will they imo).
