Reaper "Going into deficit at the moment is not something to worry about"

Would totally disagree Reaper. The depth of the deficit is everything.

Many a past government has gone too far into deficit and interest repayments have bludgeoned future governments budgets with huge repayments. This causes interest rates to higher than would normally be the norm.

It has also lead to many a public asset being sold of to pay such debts.

Just look at labors last effort $96b in debt. Is that really what you want to leave your children?

I myself would rather leave my children something of lasting benefit. They in the end have to choose a nursing home for me. I would hate to be in your shoes, but I suppose a tent on the river bank would not be too bad in retirement!
