    "I went out for a meal last night...$3.50 for a 200ml buddy bottle of coke, the cost price of which is probably 50 cents...$6.50 for a stubby of beer, a whole carton of which I could buy for $40. What's that equate to?? A 500%+ mark-up"

    ... What you don't realise is that the bottle of coke is making up for all the things that you are not paying for (the list is too long to mention), or are paying little for. If a restauranteur is running an honest ship, i.e paying group tax, paying all on the books and nothing in cash, declaring all revenue, paying super etc then I can tell you that it's pretty tight.


    "Sorry, but I've never known too many struggling restaurant owners." ..... Is that so? Maybe they are just letting on that they are well off and secretly don't have much at all. For the hours envolved I don't think the reward is as good as you think.
