"Almost five year after making its debut on the australia securities exchange, mineral explorer Peak Resourses has finally had its day in the sun.
Stock in the junior explore surged to a record high on monday after on 32.9%. Peak resources listed on the local exchangeat 20 cents in 2006,and on Tuesday the stock was trading at 58 cents. So far this year it has risen 368% and it is up 641%over the past 12 months.
The spectacular performance caught the attion of the asx, which issued the explore a speeding ticket.
Peak resources respondedthat is was unaware of any information which,if know,could be an explanation for the recent trading in its securities.
Peak resources explores for gold,base metal and rare earth prospects.
Last month it confirmed rare earth oxide mineralisation at its Ngualla Project.
Peak resources had $3.1 million cash in hand at end of the June quarter."
