mr D, i wouldn't expect any stocks to perform well on a down day, i just meant in general that many coal, csg, and other bulk goods (io esp) have done really well in the recent market, as profit margins are fairly reliable. unfortunately, some metal plays have plenty of resource, but are incapable of extracting them at significant profit.
