The Company’s Chairman, Mr Max Cozijn, will take on executive management responsibilities while the Company addresses its executive management requirements and corporate opportunities."

So extended the FD's term to the end of the year only. The company is addressing "corporate opportunities" and they have just appointed a new NED who they stress (and this was the first piece of experience they stressed) has extensive experience in M&A.

Sounds very much like they are either looking to buy something else or sell or merge the company.
