Thanks Insaf for putting forward some sanity, especially for pointing out that “it was holders that assumed funding partners and made it factual”.
This is one of the problems with this forum, it would be easy to assume that FAR management had actually announced they were seeking funding support to PE if you read all the threads. But the fact is management have announced no such thing. How anyone would expect FAR to stump up $440 million to acquire COP is beyond me.
FAR’s strategy and business model is all about exploration. It’s not about mergers and acquisitions.
Where we will find value is through development of the leases we have on our books. There is massive potential in the three block that WPL have just bought into. And we have the added opportunity in DJ, The best million we have ever spent according to CN. So again Hot Copper forum holders have wound themselves into a frenzy about FAR buying COP's share in Senegal without any factual basis, and are going to then disappoint themselves because of false expectations.
Will we ever learn!
