By the same token, how could any company ( no matter how BIG they are or think they are) be so brash and arrogant to come out with "joint" statements that the deal has completed without Gov approval ( tacit or implied) in the pocket. Apart from this deal, WPL still have other interests in Senegal and I can't think they would be so arrogant and burn all bridges.
Think a WPL/FAR deal had been done (amicable resolution).
Still like to see FAR ending up with 20% and a bit of freecarry in SNE, in exchange for FAR dropping the PE, and agreeing to WPL obtaining the OPeratorship in due course, and foregoing any pre-emptive rights, in favor of WPL, in event that Cairn decide to sell down a % of holding, and farming down a % in DjF for a freecarried well in DjF..
Wishful thinking?? Maybe.. but Not necessarily....See my posts from 3 months ago... I think this scenario is now more likely than previously now that these statements were made.
