For the avoidance of doubt, this is the 'rumour' I have been banging on about for weeks, as fully detailed as I can make it:
Close followers of RRL will be aware of the National Oil and Gas Agency of Georgia (NAOG) announcing in 2010 the international tender for the remaining onshore block exploration licences.
The tighter knit 'underground' community may also be aware of a rumour regarding the companies who may or may not have been bidding.
After some research and entering into dialogue for some weeks with the office of NAOG, I was advised this morning of the winners of the blocks, as follows:
"
Dear Sir,
I'm sending you the results of the Tender (winners):
Block VIIB: - Vectra Investments private Limited
Block VIII: Strait Oil and Gas (Adjaria)
Block XIA: Gorgian Oil Consortium
Block XIG: Trans Atlantic Inc
with best wishes
Alexandr Chabukiani
"
For those of you familiar with the licence blocks, you will know that Block VIII was the largest available block on offer.
Now this appears to be genuine, and after weeks of conversing I have no reason to doubt this.
If you have no idea how this affects Range, I apologise for the confusion!
Believe me though, this is massive news.
A company maker just grew itself another trunk!
cheers all
DD
