Few years to go how will this play out. Its anybody's guess.

MOUNT Isa is in the prime position to secure hundreds of jobs and potentially cheaper energy as the preferred location for a pipeline linking the Northern Territory to the East Coast gas market.
Key figures behind the pipeline are set to land in Mount Isa on Monday for two days of consultation with stakeholders and industry.
Mount Isa Mayor Tony McGrady said the city was well positioned to be the route linking from the Territory to the East Coast gas market.
"The question of gas is extremely competitive with numerous areas fighting for it to come to their particular area," Cr McGrady said.
"We are in the box seat. There's a committee of the chief minister’s department coming to Mount Isa to discuss with council and other organisations."
"I've been promising the community for some time of major developments and this a great start to cementing not only the North West's, but Queensland's relationship with the (Northern) Territory."
Cr McGrady said his discussions with companies lining up the contract indicated it was a "big project" that would generate employment opportunities for the region.
It would also deliver energy competition for the city, with consumers likely beneficiaries of cheaper gas.
"It's another source of energy coming to Mount Isa and the fact that this pipeline could come through our area will have Mount Isa once again seen as a major and relevant part of the resources sector in Australia," Cr McGrady said.

He conceded the deal was far from confirmed but the project's proponents were "getting closer to making decisions".
"There's a lot of work going on behind the scenes," Cr McGrady said.
Former Queensland Premier Campbell Newman made assurances the state government would support the pipeline coming through Mount Isa.
He was confident a new Labor government would be also support the plan.
"I'm certain Labor will support it - the mantra of all political parties has been 'jobs, jobs, jobs'," Cr McGrady said.
The pipeline link through Mount Isa would a under-utilised and "ignored" relationship between Queensland and the Northern Territory, Cr McGrady said.
"Without infrastructure, we have nothing," he said.
"This shows that our city is moving."
The Northern Territory Government received 14 Expressions of Interest from companies interested in building the proposed gas pipeline linking the Northern Territory to the East Coast gas grid.
Eleven companies were short-listed to proceed to the next stage of the bidding process.
Pipeline operator APA Group is one of the eleven companies and is exploring two potential routes.
One option is an 800km pipeline from Tennant Creek to Mount Isa, at a cost of about $900million.
The other is from Alice Springs to the Santos-operated Moomba gas plant in South Australia, about 1000km and at a cost of about $1.3billion.

City has possible role in pipeline project

KEY proponents for a nation-building project attracting interest from Australian and overseas companies will discuss Mount Isa’s viability this week.
The North East Gas Interconnector – linking the Northern Territory to the East Coast gas market - has been granted Major Project Status by the Northern Territory government.
Two routes have been proposed – one from Tennant Creek to Mt Isa in Queensland and the other from Alice Springs to Moomba in South Australia.
Proposals will be accepted for both these routes and any other route that industry would like to suggest linking the two gas grids.
Northern Territory Chief Minister Adam Giles said 14 Expressions of Interest from companies interested in building the proposed gas pipeline linking the Northern Territory to the East Coast gas grid were received
“I am thrilled to see such strong interest from both local and overseas pipeliners in this important nation-building project,” Chief Minister Adam Giles said.
Interest in the pipeline project is growing with more than 100 people attending an industry briefing in Alice Springs late last year.
“I was happy to see a vote of confidence in the pipeline project from Central Petroleum who announced a framework agreement to supply gas from their existing gas fields and future gas discoveries to Incitec Pivot’s phosphate fertiliser plant south of Mt Isa. This is another demonstration of faith in the pipeline,” Mr Giles said.
Central Petroleum has entered a non-binding heads of agreement to supply up to 15pj of gas from its conventional reservoirs in the Nortrhern Territory to Incitec Pivot.
The Giles Government has shortlisted 11 companies to proceed to the next stage of the bid process for a new pipeline linking the Northern Territory to the East Coast gas grid.
“The North East Gas Interconnector is an important nation-building project with the potential to create jobs and industry in the Territory, as well as relieve the East Coast gas crisis,” Chief Minister Adam Giles said.
