World phone started out by offering 10 free minutes to entice people to download the app and try out its premium service for free. That turned out to be too costly and WP dropped its free minutes all the way down to 1 minute.
The free minutes will soon be replaced by WP's app-to-app VOIP service which the company will rely on to sell to the crowd.
My question is, how will we entice people to buy the premium service when all they get to trial is the crappy (in comparison) VOIP service? I feel like I'm missing something here. It's like a sales person walking into a cafe and telling them their orange juice brand is crap and they should buy theirs, so here is a trial of their apple juice.
Anyway, I'm not down ramping, I just really feel like I'm missing something here? Am I?
