The celebrations are continuing in Paddy's Bar in Tyndrum, having kicked off in the Rod and Reel in Crianlarich. Nobody's laptops were getting signal. Spookily the planning result came in just after 3pm, almost exactly co-inciding with the start of the 50 dollar pop in gold. TV crews present were the BBC, the Richard Macer crew putting the finishing to the documentary to be screened in two weeks. Also Channel 4 for a programme they expect to go out next week, and Reporting Scotland chose to do a live feed from near the mine entrance in the twilight.
