    Australia clears China for uranium mining

    The Australian government says it has no objections to China mining uranium in Australia, provided it meets all the relevant regulations.

    Foreign Affairs Minister Alexander Downer says if China signs a Nuclear Safeguards Agreement then there is every chance the country could begin investing in Australia's resource industries.

    Watch out, China’s moving in on the future of energy.
