Christopher Lasch was a conservative American sociologist-writer who died in 1994. Many of his predictions have come true - the arrival of the US Tea Party movement twenty years on is one of them. He wrote:
‘Traditionalists will have to master techniques of sustained activism formerly monopolised by the left.’
