Leaving the security of BHP to work at NRE has been a challenging at times.The small independent just does not have the depth of a global giant,so we make do with what we've got and get on with it.
We are now driving the gate roads for longwall blocks ,mains development and the longwall installation continues.I must add that some of the terrain we have mined through has been "bloody"hard hards.The sister mine Wongawilli continues to produce longwallmand development coal.
Recently a meeting with senior management assured us of job security and money in the bank to move forward to realise longwall production.To be be honest ,yes ,we were all worried about our jobs
Mr J has built a family home in Wollongong so one would assume that he is here to stay and continues to assure us of it.He calls us his family
It's a good place to work and we all like to see it prosper and grow
