What is it with these companies making an announcement in the
morning and then announcing a trading halt, pending an announcement, in
the afternoon?
THOR MINING (THR) joined Swish in this regard.
Before the start of trading Thor advised that following recent
sales BATAVIA MINING (BTV) now held 13 million CDI shares, representing
10 per cent of the issued share capital and 7.4 million warrants,
representing 11 per cent of warrants.
Surely this is not what sent the shares down as much as 11.5c to
38c before recovering to close at 44c?
Surely it wasn't foreknowledge of the reason for the trading
halt - to announce an "update on the timetable agreed in the MOU with
Hunan Nonferrous"?
Thor rose from 31.5c on March 28 to as high as 50c on April 16
on the back of announcements on molybdenum and then uranium.
