@Fishinnick and all those who think letting it 'all hang out' to deal with Covid19 is o.k.

    - I received this yesterday from a good friend, who is Australian-Austrian - living in Austria at the moment - and here he lived mostly in Western Australia and returned to Europe in 2020. Austria along with many other European countries along with Sweden has somewhat relaxed standards - truth is, they are not happy about it, because some people simply flaunt it to extremes - they attend mass gatherings etc. meet in pubs, do not wear masks etc - and now with autumn, eventually winter coming on - he wrote this:

"it's getting to be autumn in Europe .. unfortunately the governments of both Germany and Austria seem incapable of instituting measures which would stop a fast spread of the Covid virus. They muddle along in any old way without being capable to decide on a structured policy, which would stop the spread of the virus, unlike your government in Western Australia. Infection numbers are rising.

then he writes that they are spending time in their country home etc. - and

wishing to return to Australia, but 'impossible, due to the strict Australian travel restrictions and the lack of flights and expense of flights - one flight to Australia is now Au$ 8000!
So we have to be patient, beware and hope for the best.

P.s. the wife is a retired chemist, so they know how to protect themselves!

    Please take note
