Yes, Vfrioni, the ramp-up to production has been frustratingly plagued by minor glitches.
The ability of the RK1 plant to process the designed tonnages has been restricted in the past quarter by excessive water feeding the plant via the tailings streams received from the chrome mine.
However, Cyclones are being installed to remove the excess water, thereby increasing the ability to reach the designed dry solids throughput.
On the plus side, cash costs at the plant for the quarter were down to $339 per PGM ounce, while the PGM basket price increased to $840 per PGM ounce.
I am consoled in that working through these problems with RK1 will presumably result in far smoother production ramp-ups for RK2 & RK3.
