Apollo up on ore hits at Mt OscarThe West Australian October 9, 2009, 8:05 am Send Shares in Apollo Minerals leapt after the company reported good magnetite iron ore hits at its Mt Oscar project in the Pilbara.The Sydney-based company said drilling had intercepted two bodies of ore with a combined total width of 196m.The first intercept was at a depth of 25 metres to 87 metres, while the second unit was intercepted at 215 metres and ended at 349 metres.The Mt Oscar project is 30 km south of the port of Cape Lambert.The company said it would continue talks with Chinese investors following a road show in the country in August.Apollo shares were up seven cents, or 24.14 per cent, to 36 cents at 8am.
