Thats often why directors are invited to join. Stockdale is primarily there for his valuable contacts (via Maquarie etc) and I bet he will quite often deal within his network on his own in the future.

This is the brave new world of private equity my friend where vast amounts of funds are looking for a home and so no history for these groups is quite common.
As long as the funds can be verified then the name of the group is irrelevent.
