    It seems that the market operator and the Greens aren't that far apart on the closure schedule for brown coal generation.

    However, the important point here is that the Greens aren't in government. So, they can say what they like. At least it gives the miserable RWNJ shock jocks something to trigger the nannas of hc with I suppose.

    Federal and State governments, the actual elected ones, have recently combined to address the transition from fossil fuel to renewables.

    E.g. The Victorian state government has an arrangement for the operator of Yallourn power station to remain in operation until 2028.

    Not the Greens.

    Federal and State governments have acknowledged the lack of investment in power generation under 9 years of the failed COALition and they are getting on with the job of fixing it.
