You need living proof that you have the holy spirit. Our body is the temple where the holy spirit would dwell, I agree with that - but just like being able to touch, taste, hear, smell something gives you an indication that you would have the holy spirit. John 3:3-8 is probably another good example.

Just before ascending to heaven Jesus told his disciples ,"you will receive power when the holy spirit comes upon you, and you will be witnesses of me in Jerusalem, in all Ju·deʹa and Sa·marʹi·a, and to the most distant part of the earth.” _ Acts 1:8.
10 days later at Pentecost 33 CE 120 disciples received the promised holy spirit in both a visible and audible form. The effect too was immediate and obvious.
(Acts 2:4) and they all became filled with holy spirit and started to speak in different languages, just as the spirit enabled them to speak.
This was clear evidence that God was backing the newly formed congregation of Christ's disciples. God's spirit continues to empower God's people to do His will today but usually not in a so clearly evident way.
