Chuss, I suggest you read the context to see that it had everything to do with language that was meant to be understood and acted upon.
(Acts 2:5-8) At that time devout Jews from every nation under heaven were staying in Jerusalem.  So when this sound occurred, a crowd gathered and was bewildered, because each one heard them speaking in his own language.  Indeed, they were utterly amazed and said: “See here, all these who are speaking are Gal·i·leʹans, are they not?  How is it, then, that each one of us is hearing his own native language?
It then goes on to list the regions from which they came. _ Acts 2:9-11.
This reaffirms what Jesus said was the purpose of his disciples being given holy spirit.
(Acts 1:8) But you will receive power when the holy spirit comes upon you, and you will be witnesses of me in Jerusalem, in all Ju·deʹa and Sa·marʹi·a, and to the most distant part of the earth.”
Here was irrefutable evidence God had switched from backing the Jews and was now supporting the work of witnessing " to the most distant part of the earth.”

You would make any claim you could to substantiate your own religious beliefs. This is utter nonsense. As if the Creator of the universe is so enfeebled that He has to rely on the Jehovah Witness as His sole medium for expressing His hopes for humankind. Talk about hubris.

The languages spoken were heart to heart comunication. It was love in action, not some miraculous and instant understanding of a foreign language. If it was such back then it would be even more important now and yet nothing like this has ever happened in modern history, therefore it absolutely did not happen in the past.

If this was a literal story, then, Mr Gordon, you would be able to speak every language on earth. You do not, therefore it is a language of the spiritual connection that binds us all. That language is love, not a miraculous and instant ability to speak another spoken language.
