It seems what constitutes "good works" seems to vary considerably among those claiming to be guided by the Holy Spirit including the denigration, torture and maiming of others with different beliefs.

However, be that as it may, it doesn't sound to me like what Paul was saying.
He was directly exhorting those fledgling believers to act as if they already had the Holy Spirit in them using faith in Jesus as an aid in order to manifest in a certain way.
Isn't that asking them to carry out good works and wasn't the object of those good works some kind of reward whether "salvation" or Heaven ?
Even the Ephesians quote shows this.

Ephesians the Christian has already been sealed by the Holy Spirit but you can still grieve Him by your actions you can still resist the Holy Spirit because that is the natural state of man.

The Holy Spirit can be offended by the actions of the Christian but being sealed relates to the fact that all who are drawn by God the Father to Jesus none of those will be lost. That is the completed and perfect work of the cross of salvation.

John 6
38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but to do the will of Him who sent Me. 39 And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that I shall lose none of those He has given Me, but raise them up at the last day. 40 For it is My Father’s will that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.”…

So the only way you can come to Jesus is if it is granted by the Father but of those who come not one will fall out of the hand of our Lord and God.

John 6
44“No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day.

John 10
27 My sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they follow Me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them out of My hand. 29 My Father who has given them to Me is greater than all. No one can snatch them out of My Father’s hand.…

The fact that Copperbod God has not drawn you to Christ and that the Holy Spirit does not indwell in you is a decision that God has made and God alone. There is no reason to hate the non believer because if you hate those who are not of the faith you are hating the decision made by God.

But one of the methods that God uses to draw the individual is the Gospel

Matthew 24
14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

The Gospel goes forth to proclaim the good news but going from the reprobate state that you are in Copperbod to having an eternal life requires God to draw you. The sheep know the voice of their shepherd they will hear the clarion call of the gospel the goats will just be emotionally enraged.

Should I just give up thinking you will ever address the questions asked about what Paul wrote ?

Like a number of others, you jump around, springing from one imaginary concoction to another, so sure about what Jesus brought and the detailed motives and will of the Creator of The Universe.

Your attempts to clothe this in pseudo theological intellectualism makes no difference, though at least they are in more or less understandable English.

As would any sensible person I treat those sorts of claims of direct contact with the Creator of The Universe with not only a great deal of salt, but platefuls of fish and chips.
