I had quite a decent lawn area, the contractors used my back yard to put in the infill sewage and in doing so destroyed my lawn. No worries they said and went about cleaning up the yard and put lawn seed down. Well found out later they used kikuyu grass seed, gees need to mow that twice a week in summer. I gave up on it and let it and the rest of the back yard go wild.
Early last year I was determine to take control and got rid of all the grass, no more lawn here. Reminds me I have a lawn mower for sale

Just my patch where it is with plenty of sun - lovely to sit on in the spring.
I missed that smell of freshly cut lawn very therapeutic and wonderful for bare feet.
