Pulled the last of my red onions, there was a couple of white ones amongst them. More than enough for me so will be giving some away, I have a heap of french shallots in and I prefer them to the onions most of the time, pull one up for a look and see still need more time.
Did a soil test, ie soil in glass of water, mix it up then let it settle, 60% sand and most of the rest silt/organic matter. Previously I would see a bit of clay which would help hold some water, thinking that while the soil is draining well, maybe too much so and hence drying out. Will investigate further.
WA experiencing some of the hottest temperatures on record in November and the beginning of December looks like it will be the hottest start to summer
