same in my family. I loved autumn. We’d get up early in the weekend even when it was frosty and head out with our buckets to pick blackberries and mushrooms and apples off the trees on the side of the road. We’d come home and have mushrooms for breakfast
autumn was always the time we’d bottle fruit together. The whole family in the kitchen slogging over a hot stove. Tomatoes. Apricots. Peaches. Apples. You name it we bottled it. Jam. Pies
then the treat of blackberry ice cream on special frosty days - for breakfast.
