I dug out some of the top soil and filled the base with fruit tree pruning, in future years I will shred fruit tree prunings and spread around the paths between the garden beds. My thinking is those prunings will compost down and I will be able to add into the raised garden beds.

I was trying to decide on drip or sprinkler system for the raised garden beds, what's your thoughts ?

With hindsight I should have done this before but it's all part of learning, get this done and hopefully in future the gardening will be easier and more productive

Depends on ya preference, plus how much time ya got.
Can you multi task and water and post on HC at same time?

Drip more efficient, time saving and sometimes better (less chance of overhead fungus problems like powdery mildew, etc?) than sprinker.
But need to watch out ya don’t cut the drip line when digging around bed (unless you remove it after what you are growing has finished production).
Also keep an eye out for it getting blocked some get ants in theirs.

I just let the hose run on mine (old sock on end of hose), only problem is if ya forget to check on it like I sometimes do.

Todays haul, going to have to freeze some beanz.
