I really need to get some work done in the garden, been busy with work and it's too bloody hot.
My two laying hens I have been laying well, was getting two eggs per day for a while which is odd as gold laced wyandottes should only lay 3-4 eggs per week. Have too many eggs, third world problems.
My chicks are growing well, must be 18 weeks old now. Up until yesterday could not see if any were boys but saw 1 with feathering that tells me it's a boy, I doubt I could be so lucky to have 7 girls from 8 but would be happy with 4 girls.
Have offered the two older roosters to Mr Fig Jam, I'll keep on rooster and give jase any others I get.
I see a patten that these girls go broody around October, I should be able to have a steady supply of eggs and chickens. Gold laced wyandottes are a meat and egg breed
