I understand all you say Granger, but I sense entropylord was making the point that the co's failure to announce an issue materially affecting production PRIOR TO the production going down was remiss and the co simply opens itself up to suspicion by this failure. I'm sure the mkt is comfortable with a production drop, provided it is explained at the time and what is being done to address it and not just glossed over in some subsequent communication or until some motivated small holder emails them for an update (I'm not sure how the explanation came about in this case but it was certainly provided after the fact).
