Within the next decade all mobile communications will be eSim enabled rather than physical Sim Cards due to cost savings across the complete supply chain IMO.
eSim is the future and physical Sims will be the inconvenient past. As new phones start coming to market as eSim only as Apple has flagged everyone will follow suit.
The fact Flexiroam has set up their systems for an eSim only future but still uses physical Sims allows the best of both worlds. Don't underestimate how difficult it is to set up this global network to take advantage of those sticking to physical Sims only. Historically the dominant technology and the giant companies using it and relying on it don't recognise the threat the new systems pose to their business model. Flexiroam has spent years building the backend to handle this coming growth. We are talking about everyone with a mobile device that accepts Sim cards on the planet will in a short to medium time frame be converting to eSim. For a company that had a $24mil MCap this morning that is a pretty exciting prospect.
