No mention of how many false stories had been spread (40 beheaded babies), which were subsequently debunked by the Israelis themselves.

Instead, a lot of talk about supposedly rampant antisemitism in Australia and focusing on how Australians are NOT aware of the seriousness of the situation.
A lot of talk about the Holocaust and the need to enforce the law in Australia in order to curb dissent at universities.

Josh Frydenberg had a chance to present a different view, more along the lines of progressive Jews. A more humane one acknowledging the suffering of the Palestinians.

He could have acknowledged that emergence of anitsemitism as a direct result of attrocities perpetrated by IDF in Gaza - this is what we see in thousands of short clips made by the IDF soldiers on various media platforms.

There is plenty more he could have said by failed to do so.

All in my opinion.

Frydenberg has always been your typical unthinking Australian Zionist. Not sure why anyone would expect him to suddenly change his view of himself. Just an example of someone fitting in with their cultural identity - he can't help it.
