Banks being Nationalised, massive swings in currency, stock markets in freefall, commodities also in free fall, Panic is everywhere and the British PM on TV to reassure the Nation with a rescue package similar to the US.

Billions being pumped into financial markets, massive banks falling over, credit markets seized, etc, etc

Sounds like we might just be at the bottom.
