IMHO today's rot appears to have started on our boarse, which in turn & as mongombolo pointed out can be traced to ann. from the Bank for International Settlements & our economic managers' apparent indifference to plummeting confidence [they actually think this is a good thing].
Add to this the media coverage being afforded to the world's doomsayers, Robert Mugabe, reported threats by Israel to bomb Iran B4 George W quits & it all adds up to lots of uncertainty & fear - on which our good mates the bears feed rapaciously!
The FTSE had a big green night Monday, apparently without permisssion & is suffering the pain tonight. Of course as a glass half full investor I live in hope that the once mighty DOW will save the day!
