This week for the first time in months I get the impression that the US market is just tired. Can't say I've noticed that with the FTSE but then I don't watch it as closely.

The Bank of England released its Minutes of its last meeting this morning and they showed that their was a split decision on whether to raise interest rates (they didn't).

Four of the nine members of the Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committee voted for an immediate 0.25% interest rate rise at this month's meeting. The shock news of the first votes to raise the rate since July 2002 signals that it may be raised this year, rather than next as most economists have predicted.

May have put the frighteners on the market.
