so I wonder what was behind the urgent buying on open? About $60,000 bought at 8.2c, up from yesterday's close at 7.5c.
I thought FTT might have been tipped by a stock-picking newsletter, but there's been no follow-through or excessive small buy orders in depth.
Maybe it was a fund topping up, or well-moneyed buyer wanting in. We'll wait and see if they return for auction at end of the day.
That 10% rise in share price on open, followed by no more buying certainly has drawn out lots of sellers in the selling depth. Maybe that's how you go about accumulating a big parcel in an illiquid stock.
It feels a bit like fishing: tiny nibbles at the bait, feeding frenzies, landing big ones (funds) and catching the odd tiddler (small buyers) ...
Landing a few big buy orders from quality funds would do wonders for the share price of illiquid FTT!
