we can not make avgas for planes out off any thing else but sweet crude oil
( sour crude will not do the job as it is to rough only for botton end use.)
as the planes need the bang on the turbines to get large volumes of air throw the engine to make it take off. At some point in time the price paid for fuel will be beyond the travelling public ablity to pay the fares ask by flight companies. We enquired about a flight from Devonport to Sydney and were told that the price with Jetstar was $256 return, one week later we went to make the booking and the price had gone up by $60 each, that to me is alot in one week.
