Firewatch is in Australia as well (https://www.firewatchaustralia.com/firewatch-in-germany) But we don't have a spare $100B to implement it nationally. Australia is a massive country. Contrary to our media the biggest fires in Australia are not in NSW and Victoria, they are in WA, SA and the NT. There's been scrub fires in the remote north that the WA government doesn't even bother trying to put out, we don't have the resources and they are left to burn for months.

Australia uses the Sentinel Hotspot Fire Detection System launched in 2003 and now hosted by Geoscience Australia. It's not as quick and definitive as Firewatch.

Turning Australia's carbon emissions off completely cannot be done and in any case would not make any observable difference, it's a futile argument. China and India would simply burn dirtier coal if we stopped exporting our cleaner coal to them. Granted they may diversify quicker from coal but by when? Certainly not immediately of near term!
