Simple common sense, fire needs fuel, the more fuel it has the more ferocious it becomes, creating the wild fire that destroys everything in it's path. Reductions burns done properly without the constant environmental restrictions will help to prevent the ferocity in the fires that we are seeing today. Reductions burns done properly in the right conditions will allow a slow burn that will not incinerate everything and will allow a majority of the creatures to move out of the way. After these recent events I would like to see the PM draw a line in the sand and announce a statement to say Hazard Reduction Burns and Management to be left to the real experts and for everyone else to shut their traps.
