Having attended and heard the comments from the directors today I don't think you need to worry.
Two points were made -
1. Directors are aware that in some circumstances it is in the shareholders best interests to accept an offer.
2. Directors believe the company is protected from a preditory/opportunistic offer because of the large number and the spread of shareholdings (many small holders who typically rely on the directors' recommendation).
The directors will be in a good position to know the value of any discovery/potential discovery, and in my view will not be rushing to take a quick profit and leave change on the counter.
