I was just talking sept08 - sept09. Xmas didn't faze me one bit its around when I picked up some very cheap EXT, BOW and AGO. In this 12mth period I only brought 4 companies (EXT- $0.98c, BOW - $0.19c, OEX - $0.19c, AGO - $0.45c). All are long term and big holdings except OEX which was a small dabble that I dumped very quickly.

Have to remember I am not an active trader I am long term bottom draw investor so unless its a 5-10yr depression its unlikely to effect me. I still actively watch the market but only looking for those bargains that become big players. My main time is more spent reading reports and looking for potential. My life before making a full time living off the ASX was in mining and exploration. I have a pretty good understanding of geology and the issues faced.

As a friend said over dinner and a wine the other night life is damm good. Lets hope we never see those oil prices ever again.

I tell you however that we are in for a real downturn in the next 6yrs as we will pay for governments who have been grossly incompetent in freely printing money. Nothing comes for free although it buys the instigators some easy love votes.
