Hi IAN....the recent Hartleys report stated that PEN would be targeting producer status by mid 2010. But as weve already pointed out this could be sooner if permits are being processed faster. Indeed the NRC visit would speed up the time it takes as they get first hand site knowledge and would make them more comfortable to approve their application. Dont forget that there already was a mining operation in the 80,s being Nubeth which produced 40,000 lbs as a pilot plant so that would be taken into consideration also. Im sure the regulations were of a similiar nature back then. posibbly more stringent today but with the same issues of water contamination, environmental constraints etc...which im sure PEN wont have a problem with based on the recent stream of information released. Hey if Uranium one can achieve a mining permit in the same geographical area then there is no reason why the application for Lance will be a mere formality
