interesting question and one that i discuss regularly with my wife
post GFC, i've had a good run, building up a portfolio from a small amount to now north of $1.5m, plus have paid all the mortgage off the house
But even at those levels, am still not comfortable giving up work full time, plus my wife won't let me....am in my mid 30s, with a young family, so have a whole lot of family expenses, school expenses, renovation expenses ahead, which i don't want to eat into capital
I think a part time role would be ideal, but kind of hard to find for me
