Whatever you may think about their ability to run practices or their acquisition skills, their track record disagrees with you. And disagrees very strongly. But you've had that discussion many times before here on HC (though not for a few years).
I would suggest that what we have seen in the last few years is the impact of the mining bust. It's very hard not to make this conclusion.
