Appreciate this post, I would just counter when you say why would anyone do these things, the small orders can be explained with just time executed sales, for example say I had $5000 worth of stock to sell, brokers can execute this order in many ways, some can just hit the market, some put orders in the book, but there are other ways too like time exectued orders, where over the day/couple of days/week they will just sell small amounts every 20/30/hour/2 hour/ increments, so its just an order being executed over time.
When you say anyone wanting to buy up without dramatically moving the share price, you would then need to see this buying right? And the down days here we witnessing are done with tiny volume. I mean look at the whole days trading yesterday:
View attachment 3378530These down days are done with tiny volume, the volume is 1.3 million, as opposed to when you actually see buying there are volumes of 10+ million. So if your theory was accurate you would be seeing some big volume on the down days right, as in investors selling out into big bids? But we are not seeing this, hardly any selling. Not much trading at all actually and when we do have volume its buy orders.
Its pretty normal trading playing out here, and can just see some big buys have gone through on a few days, apart from that just little trades as you can see above. Im thinking some insiders got some information and wanted to get set before its released to the market, as we have seen in the past with BOT.
View attachment 3378581with 23.7 million cash at bank and only valued at 75 mill, only 3 times cash value, seems like a lot of room to the upside on positive catalysts, and as can see doesnt take much to move this stock. 6.4 is a strong level, but not sure we will get another chance to buy there, I will be looking for entries to day trade on any drops as well, seems safe to play and not going to get caught up in a CR announcment as they have enough cash at bank. If I start seeing an increase in volume too, higher than the 2.5million level, I will start buying too as these big volume days have been a signal for a string of green days.
Another interesting thing is that I have noticed similar strange spikes in volume come across a number of cannabis related stocks as has happened a couple of weeks back with BOT, happening with SCU, ECS, MMJ, weird spikes in volume with no news, so something seems to be happening in the sector behind the scenes.
