That sounds like giving up on something that needs to be changed - or at least audited to implement the set and current rules.
Same thing with our politicians, local-state-federal, as long as no one screams out publicly, nothing is going to happen.
Maybe we should raise the issue with some (d**b)independent member in federal parliament - I'm sure some of them would jump at anything that possibly attracts the news. Hard to beat the Indonesian cattle story though.
