Do you know which company has one of the highest average ROE on 10 year in the Australian market ?
I do not find that to be very intuitive.
The answer is Nick Scali.
Average ROE of around 50 % over 10 years.
This has to do, in particular with its financing policy : almost 0 financial debt, financed essentially via large free cash flow and leases.
Regarding valuation, we have, of course, the short term uncertainty due to pressure on households in the short term.
And the fact that they have a high basis of earnings, due to high spendings for households goods during covid.
But, it looks to be quite well discounted into the share price.
Since covid, their earnings have doubled and their share price has just increased by 25 %, mainly reflecting the good acquisition (Plush) they did in Nov 21.
