Nice rebound today for 2 consumer credit stocks : MME and MNY.
Interesting news for MME : as they diversify their funding, they are able to decrease the securitisation cost of fund. Great outcome given the increase of interest rates.
I fear that this rebound will be short term only, like for almost all small caps.
This consumer credit area is really tough. Last examples was the end of Volt (neobank) and the recent decision of Citibank to leave the Australian retail market.
The difficulty to raise equities now will probably continue to support established players.
Other interesting example is the departure this week of Tyro CEO, while Tyro keeps producing a high level of loss.
