Hi @saintex, The ad rates are still high but are slowly coming down, uses google and facebook due to the ability to really target a specific demographic e.g newlyweds. The price varies based on the type of advertiser despite it being the same website but some customers are more valuable to target. Also if watching a video on youtube and the ad is skipped, there's no charge to the advertiser and no income for the creator, some ads are unskippable which guarantees revenue for the creator but also means the advertiser is charged on all views rather than clicks. Seems like it's a good system. I'd think advertising is very cyclical as it's one of the first things cut in terms of business slowdown especially for small businesses.
