Quite interesting to see the trends in the housing market, just reported by Corelogic for the month of April. For the 3rd consecutive month, units have outperformed houses in almost all of the 5 main capital cities. So, despite all the quality problems which remain with units, the gap between houses and units have become too large to be ignored by purchasers, who are now looking for affordable options. For the same reason, regions are now regularly outperforming capital cities. During the last 3 months, home prices have increased by 2.1 % in combined regions vs 1.7 % for combined capitals.
